Early Archery seasons is open for whitetails.  Warm weather has them moving to food sources just before dark.  If you took the advice to build a food plot, evenings would be a good time to hunt it!

Chinooks have been in the Sydenham and local tribs for the past couple weeks.  Decent numbers of salmon were seen at the Owen Sound Mill Dam, and the local club collected their quota for eggs at the hatchery.

Saugeen anglers will be happy to know that the GEEN is now fishing well for steelhead.  The Ontario Steelheaders have begun their fall steelhead transfers.  The volunteers trap adult fall steelhead at Denny's Dam and transport them above multiple dams 40km+ up river.  The past couple days have seen over 100 steelhead moved, with a large number of clipped fish captured.  This is a great sign that the intensive stocking efforts by the club and Lake Huron Fishing Club are paying off!
